To be an official team (and eligible for team discounts) you need at least 4 people – the bigger your team, the bigger your discount. The biggest team in 2016 had 132 members. If you’re looking for more team members why not download and share the 2017 Poster.
Teams can either work together to make sure every member completes the course (carrying team mates if necessary!) or they can fight it out for the ultimate bragging rights.
Team Discounts: If your team get up to…
- 4 to 15 members, you each get a 5% discount
- 16 to 25 members, you each get up to 10% discount
- 25+ members, please email email@example.com for a special deal

How do we register as a team?
All our registrations are done online so once you’ve chosen which event you want to enter (Leeds, Lakes or Edinburgh) and the relevant distance (10K, 12K, 10 Miles or all of them!), your team captain will then need to create a Team Name and a Team Code (prize for the best team name so be creative!). He/she then needs to select the ‘Create a Team’ option at the start of the registration process and follow the instructions on screen.
Other team members can be added at any time by selecting the ‘Join a Team’ option. Team members must enter the exact team name and team code given to them by the team captain. Teams must also reach the minimum team size (selected when registering) no later than two weeks prior to the event.
Don’t forget to tell your team mates about the deadlines for our early booking discounts. Each team member will be charged at the current registration price, not the price the team captain paid when he or she registered. This means that team members could potentially pay more than team captains, so make sure your team mates are aware of this and book early (go to the Entry Fees page for more info).
Once you have completed the online registration you will see simple instructions explaining how to forward details to potential team mates (e.g. email, Facebook and Twitter etc). All event information is sent via email so it is essential to give the correct email address and update your registration details if this changes for any reason.
PLEASE NOTE: The ‘Launch Special’ period gives the maximum discount to everyone, therefore Team Discounts are NOT applicable during this period.
