The Lake District
Sat 2nd Aug 2014 – 10K
Sun 3rd Aug 2014 – 10 Miles
The Lake District is the Adventure Capital of the UK and is the home of Total Warrior, which is now going into its fourth year. It is the perfect venue for an obstacle race with endless hills, rivers, mud (tonnes of it!), woodland and the rugged Lake District terrain. This is before the 25 – 30 punishing Total Warrior obstacles even get a mention! No wonder this event sells out months in advance.
Participants come from all over the World to compete in the Lake District event with thousands staying over to make a weekend of it. Warriors who choose the 10 mile option, will get the full 10K course along with a brutal 4 mile fell run. This section is timed separately, with the fastest participant being crowned ‘King of the Mountain.’

What is Total Warrior?
Total Warrior is a challenge not a race! However, we fully believe in competition and applaud anyone who wants to try and set the fastest time. You can enter the Lake District event as an individual or as part of a team. Discounts will be given to teams with 4 or more participants (the bigger the team, the bigger the discount), go to our teams page for more info. Teams can either work together to make sure every member completes the course (carrying team mates if necessary!) or they can fight it out for the ultimate bragging rights.
Be prepared for steep hills, mud, water and fire (and maybe even ice!) as we put you through our specially designed gruelling course. Not everyone will finish, but those who do will be greeted with a victory beer…and maybe even a hose pipe to clean up, if you’re lucky! Click here for course and obstacle info.
Participants will set off in waves every 25 minutes (from 10am to 11.15am – you select your preferred wave when registering) and electronic timing chips will be used, so even if you cross the line first, you may not have set the fastest time of the day. There will be an awards ceremony at the end of the day so make sure you hang around to cheer on other Warriors, socialise, claim your free victory beer and enjoy the live music. There are also prizes for fastest times, best & worst costume and special spot prizes for participants who have overcome hardship in one way or another.
